Magnet Films is an Italian art house film production company that operates across Italy, the U.S. and Australia. In 2013 Magnet Films released "The Swimmer", an Australian short film written and directed by Giovanni Basso. The Swimmer was in competition in more than 40 international film festivals worldwide. In 2014 Magnet Films produced Terra Continens, a short film presented during the 2015 Venice Film Festival. In 2016 Magnet Films produced Raffaele Salvaggiola's debut feature film, titled "1/2". The latest Magnet Films movie is "Il Grande Presidente", an Italian short film written and directed by Giovanni Basso and supported by MiBAC, Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and SIAE, starring Lorenzo Balducci and Giorgio Colangeli.
